Lekker Websites builds websites for South African small businesses — the kind of businesses that get quoted R40 000 by an agency for something that should cost a fraction of that, and then wait three months for it.
Most small business owners we speak to have had one of two experiences. Either they paid a lot of money to an agency and got something slow, generic and impossible to update. Or they built something themselves on a drag-and-drop builder at two in the morning, and they've quietly hated it ever since.
We started Lekker Websites to be the sensible middle option. Proper custom design and a build that's genuinely fast, at a price a plumber or a guest house or a salon can justify. You get one person who knows your project, answers messages, and tells you honestly when something isn't worth the money.
What we believe
A website is a business tool, not an art project. If it doesn't bring in enquiries, it's decoration. Everything we build is aimed at one thing: making it easy for someone who needs what you sell to find you and get in touch.
How we're different
- Fixed prices, published. You can see what things cost before you talk to us.
- You own everything. Domain, hosting, analytics — all in your name, all handed over.
- No monthly lock-in. Care plans exist, but they're optional and cancellable.
- Speed is non-negotiable. Every site is tested on a real phone on mobile data, not just on a fast laptop.
- Plain English. If we can't explain why something costs money, we won't charge you for it.
Who you'll deal with
We're deliberately small. The person who quotes your project is the person who designs it, builds it and picks up the phone afterwards. That's why we only take on a handful of builds a month — it's the only way to keep the turnaround honest.

The quote is the price
If we underestimate the work, that's our problem, not your invoice. The only time the number changes is if you ask for something that wasn't in the brief — and we'll tell you before we do it.
We hit the date
We commit to a launch date at the start and we keep to it. If your content is late we'll tell you what that does to the timeline rather than quietly slipping.
No hostages
Every account is registered in your name from day one. If you want to move to another developer, everything goes with you, no argument and no exit fee.
