This policy explains what personal information Lekker Websites ("we", "us") collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We process personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act ("POPIA").

What we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit the enquiry form we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the message field.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
- Analytics. If analytics is enabled, we collect anonymous usage statistics — which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. We do not use this to identify individuals.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To deliver services you've engaged us for, and to invoice you.
- To keep records required for tax and accounting purposes.
- To keep the website secure and working properly.
We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without you asking us to.
Who we share it with
Only where necessary to run the business. That may include our hosting provider, our form-handling provider, our email provider, and our accountant. Each of these processes your information on our instruction and is bound to keep it confidential. Some of these providers operate servers outside South Africa; where that's the case, we only use providers who apply protections comparable to POPIA.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become projects are deleted after roughly twelve months. Records relating to actual client work are kept for five years, as required by South African tax law.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
- Delete your information, where we're not legally required to keep it.
- Stop using your information for a particular purpose.
Email hello@lekkerwebsites.co.za and we'll deal with it. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If analytics is enabled it may set a single anonymous cookie to avoid counting the same visitor twice. You can block cookies in your browser settings without breaking the site.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
